Having survived the transition from Manhattan, we're settling into life in Georgia. We have become active here in CUUPS (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans) and Celtic Crossings. Jezibell has also been performing at local events sponsored by the Greater Augusta Arts Council, including First Fridays and Arts in the Heart. Joe is working at the Augusta Jewish Community Center, where Jezibell will begin teaching belly dance in August.
On Saturday, August 9, Joe will be performing "The Last Testament of Johannes Junius" at 2 pm at the Friedman Library,1447 Jackson Road. This dramatization is based on a letter that Junius wrote to his daughter from prison before he was put to death on charges of witchcraft in sixteenth-century Germany. The topic of torture and forced confession is sadly relevant today, as people the world over are subjected to brutal intimidation on the basis of race, religion, gender and politics.
